Atmosphere: “No theme. No attitude. Just BAR.” Bar Chicago is your basic party bar, like New Year’s Eve, Mardi Gras, and Spring Break all wrapped up into one party! No dress code, wear your gym shoes or rock those jeans while dancing on the bar with the midgets!

 

*Transit:

                Atmosphere: Come for the dancing at Transit! You’ll never be sitting down here with the variety

                Atmosphere:  Get moving and grooving at Buzz! An intimate setting in the trendy River North

                area, experience  lush, sexy surroundings with plenty of dance space. VIP area and velvet ropes

                a-plenty. Dress code enforced.

 

*The Leg Room:

                Atmosphere: Situated in the Gold Coast, Leg Room is a hip, trendy spot that gives you superior

                lounging and dancing until dawn. Plenty of seating, menu full of good eats, a fish tank on the

                dance floor, and sip one of their famous Chocolate Bliss martinis! Proper attire required. 

 

*Funk Groove Bar:

                Hours: Sunday-Friday: 9pm-4am, Saturday: 9pm-5am

                Music: Fun pop and retro dance remixes and House music.

                Atmosphere: Ultra trendy and hip with its low ceilings and pounding beats, Funk challenges the

                typical Division Street bar stereotype with the velvet ropes and underground location.  Dress

                appropriately.

 

*Coyote Ugly:

                Hours: Sunday-Friday:  5pm-2am, Saturday: 5pm-3am

                Music: Rock, pop, and country. Basically music to have a good time to any night!

                Atmosphere: Seen the movie? Yup, it’s that Coyote Ugly! Where they don’t serve water (unless

                you like a spray of water to the face…), the bartenders are the hottest girls in Chicago, and the

                crowd is wild and boisterous! Looking for a really fun night out? CU is definitely your place!

                Dress is casual.

 

*P.S. Chicago:

                Hours: Sunday-Friday: 8pm-2am, Saturday: 8pm-3am

                Music: 80s, 90s, with a few modern hits and hip hop.

                Atmosphere: A mix of the old and the new, this Gold Coast hot spot is back and with a

                vengeance! Lounge on one of their plush chairs and take in the view of Rush Street as you

                schmooze with the people, cocktail in hand, of course.

 

*Excalibur:

                Hours: Sunday-Friday: 7pm-4am, Saturday: 7pm-5am

 Music: Sunday-Tuesday, Friday: varies, dance favorites, rock, pop, hip hop, rap. Wednesday: 70s, 80s, 90s, and dance hits. Thursday: Salsa, cha cha, Latin beats. Saturday: Guest DJs spin dance

favorites and top 40 music.

Atmosphere: Formerly a church, morgue for the Chicago fire, and Chicago Historical Society, this late night haunt has everything you need! 3 floors of dancing, lounging, playing, and great drinks will keep you up into the wee hours of the night! No baggy jeans, sneakers or t-shirts.

 

*Vision Nightclub:

                Hours: Thursday-Friday: 10pm-4am, Saturday: 10pm-5am

                Music: International DJs spin the best in Dance music, house, and hip hop.

                Atmosphere: One of Chicago’s first “mega clubs”, this three room club is a visual feast. The top

                floor, Sky, is the place to look below to the Dome, where you can dance the night away under a

dome full of lights. The Lair is the underground level where ultra sexy lighting is the place to chill. No athletic wear.

 

*Sound Bar:

                Hours: Friday: 9pm-4am, Saturday: 9pm-5am

                Music: Fridays: House, mainstream and hip hop. Saturdays: The latest dance mixes and beats,

                along with urban and hip hop.

Atmosphere: This ultra-hip, upscale club is one of the newest and hottest spots in Chicago. Ultra modern design and high tech lighting and sound will move your feet as you pick up a drink at one of the nine bars and multiple rooms and lounges. No shorts, ball caps, sweats.

 

*Crobar:

                Hours: Wednesday: 10pm-4am, Friday: 10pm-4am, Saturday: 10pm-5am

Music: Wednesday: Salsa, meringue, and reggaeton. Friday and Saturday: High energy techno, house, electronic and dance.

Atmosphere:  A hot spot for celebs and Chicago’s hottest young clubbers, Crobar brings high energy back to the club scene. The vibe and crowd is upbeat, and the décor is “industry chic”. Casual to dressy, but dress to impress!

 

 

*Bacchus:

                Hours: Sunday-Friday: 7pm-2am, Saturday: 7pm-3am.

                Music: Dance music from Top 40s to classic 80s tracks.

 Atmosphere: A Lincoln Park hot spot, this bright and bold club caters to the young and hip. Specialty drinks play up the clubs name, the Roman god Bacchus who would throw yearly orgies, like the Orgy, Pagan, and Kir Caesar.  Dress appropriately.

 

*John Barleycorn:

                Hours: Wednesday-Friday: 5pm-2am, Saturday: 10am-3am

                Music: Rock, pop, alternative, hip hop.

Atmosphere: This Wrigleyville watering hole attracts thirsty people from all over the area. Think of it as a cherry-wood bar, but with a dance floor and hot beats. Casual dress, great place after a Cubs game!

 

*MaxBar:

                Hours: Thursday-Friday: 9pm-4am, Saturday: 9pm-5am

Music: Thursday: Dance, Friday: House, hip  hop and dance, Saturday: guest DJs spin a blend of everything.

Atmosphere: A blend of a “hip tavern and edgy lounge”, MaxBar serves up the biggest dance party on Lincoln Ave! Intimate and sexy, singles mingle and lounge around well until the sun comes up! Dress appropriately.

 

*The Apartment:

                Hours: Thursday-Friday: 9pm-2am, Saturday: 9pm-3am.

                Music: Rock, pop, hip hop, funk, soul, and r&b.

Atmosphere: Located upstairs from the Lion’s Head, this sophisticated, trendy club lives up to its name with beds and recliners to sit, or lay on and a fireplace to snuggle up to. Treat yourself to some of their delectable delights like fried Twinkies, wings and burgers. Dress is more stylish compared to the down stairs; no baggy pants, ball caps, sports apparel and cut-offs.

 

*Katacomb:

                Hours: Thursday-Friday: 9pm-4am, Saturday: 9pm-5am.

                Music: Funk, Soul, and R&B.

                Atmosphere: Totally trendy and chic, this underground club is a great place to groove and move

                to funky beats and lounge around next to hieroglyphic walls. Known for their Red Bull cocktails,

                Katacomb will keep you going late into the night. Dress appropriate.

 

*Reserve:

                Hours: Tuesday-Friday: 9pm-2am, Saturday: 9pm-3am.

                Music: Hip hop, electronica, and dance.

                Atmosphere: Ultra glam and fabulous, Reserved has your table ready! Called an “up-beat ultra

                lounge”, this place lets you unwind and let go while relaxing with one of their specialty drinks

                like the French Kiss. Asian design with a retro-modern feel. Dress casual to dressy.

 

*Wet:

                Hours: Friday: 10pm-4am, Saturday: 10pm-5am.

                Music: Dance, house, hip hop, top 40s, electronica.

Atmosphere: Get wet! Shaded in blue, this narrow downtown hot spot is the place to be for the dressed to kill and sexy Chicagoans. The drinks are stiff, but the bodies dancing definitely aren’t.  Dress to impress.

 

*Ontourage:

                Hours: Thursday-Friday: 9pm-4am, Saturday: 9pm-5am.

                Music: Hip hop, house, dance, pop.

Atmosphere: Small and intimate, the sleek outside lets you know you’re in for a seduction inside. Using the latest, stat of the art sound and lighting system, this is what clubbing should be! High volume beats make the dance floor shake along with the hot crowd that’s on it. Appropriate club attire required.

 

*Club 720:

                Hours: Monday-Tuesday, Thursday-Friday: 10pm-4am, Saturday: 10pm-5am.

                Music: Hip hop, funk, rap, latin, salsa.

Atmosphere: Recently re-opened, 720 is a five level club with numerous rooms of fabulous dancing and socializing with the River North elite! Huge windows showcase awesome city views and plenty of room to shake it! Trendy dress, fancy.

 

*Déjà Vu:

                Hours: Sunday-Friday: 9pm-4am, Saturday: 9pm-5am (DJs Thursday-Saturday).

                Music: Rock, pop, funky, soul, hip hop, r&b.

                Atmosphere: “A neighborhood bar with a lounge attitude”.  More like a hip bar than a club, Déjà

                Vu is a great place to come with friends with a leisurely manner. Two levels, different types of

                music, and a popular spot for the night owls! Trendy, appropriate dress.

 

 

*Finn McCool’s:

                Hours: Sunday-Friday: 11:30am-4am, Saturday: 11:30am-5am.

                Music: Rock, pop, alternative.

                Atmosphere: Looking for a great “I-just-died-and-went-to-Ireland” feel? McCool’s is your place!

                A traditional Irish pub with a social, trendy scene, this is a great place to gulp down some

                Guinness and discuss everything under the sun while having a laugh and meeting new people.

                Casual dress.

 

*Lion’s Head Pub:

                Hours:  Monday-Friday: 3pm-2am, Saturday: 11am-3am, Sunday: 11am-2am.

                Music: Rock and pop.

                Atmosphere: A traditional pub, The Lion’s Head is downstairs from the uber trendy Apartment.

                A meat lover’s paradise, plenty of room to make yourself comfortable, and yak it up with the

                locals. Great drink specials to boot! Casual.

 

*The Loft:

                Hours: Monday-Friday: 5pm-4am, Saturday: 11am-5am, Sunday: 11am-4am.

                Music: Varies.

Atmosphere: Upstairs from Finn McCool’s, The Loft sports collegiate photos on its walls, fraternity paddles, and a down-home neighborhood feel. Good variety of brews and mouth watering burgers to die for! Casual dress.

 

*The Original Mothers:

                Hours: Sunday-Friday: 8pm-4am, Saturday: 8pm-5am.

                Music: Rock, pop, dance.

Atmosphere: Opened in 1968, Original Mothers is a Chicago institution! Hosting such bands as Chicago, Cream, and the Velvet underground, this place has everything you need from live bands, karaoke, and dance-your-pants off good times! Located on the Gold Coast, Mother’s is bringing rock back to Division! Casual.

Evil Olive

Hours: 9 p.m.-4 a.m. Monday-Friday and Sunday; 9 p.m.-5 a.m. Saturday

Music: The Jukebox reigns here, but DJs spin on the weekends with hip-hop, pop, and rock.

 Atmosphere: New to the Chicago Division scene, Evil Olive is a great place to go hang out in a lounge scene. Not quite a nightclub, but a high energy bar, Evil Olive keeps the party going with it's ultra-cool clientele, and modernity with its flat screen tvs scattered around playing eye candy movies such as V for Vendetta.

Bar attire, dressy-casual.

Republic

Hours: Thursday and Friday 9pm-4am, Saturday 9pm-5am.

Music: Great techno, house, top 40 mixes and electronica.

Atmosphere: As one of the newer clubs to hit the trendy Weed Street district, Republic is one of those hot-and-heavy hitters that gets you grooving and moving to Chicago's best DJs. Republic delivers a great mix of ultra modern, lavish, and  stylish "intelligent lounge" scene. Dress to Impress.
